What is PlateUp!?

A restaurant that grows with every run.

PlateUp! combines cooking, customer service and restaurant planning with run-by-run progression. Play solo or with up to four players, then organize the kitchen around the menu and appliances you have.

Use this handbook to understand a rule, build a small production loop, or check what an upgrade changes.

Does a Buffet remove the need for plates?

Buffet lets customers collect food that satisfies their order. It does not remove a dish’s plate requirement or take ordinary orders for you. A full portionable Soup Pot or Taco Tray is a specific self-portioning exception.

Ordinary Buffet in unmodded Steam PC. Banquet Dining is a separate condition; 1.5 changes how customers wait at Buffets.

Which way should a Portioner face?

The yellow arrow points toward the source, and the portion arrives on the Portioner itself. Keep its surface or output free. For supported ingredient providers, the Portioner can add the ingredient to an item already on itself.

Base portioning plus the 1.4.3 water/milk/ice changes and 1.5 direct-source combination and full-bin emptying.

Do Metal Tables remove toppings as well as sides?

Metal Tables make sides optional, but do not remove required toppings. In exchange, customers have 50% less food-waiting and delivery patience. They suit a restaurant with reliable mains that is struggling with its side-production lines.

Standard unmodded Steam PC table rules. Other patience reductions can stack with the Metal Table effect.

Can a pot go into the Microwave?

Yes. The game’s Microwave accepts carried pots, and can cook their contents when the recipe is in a cookable state. Open the door to load it, close it to cook one five-second stage, and avoid starting it empty or with an uncookable item.

This is a PlateUp game mechanic. Base Wiki fields are used; special Heat or card changes are not guaranteed to share every value.

How do I enable Chill mode?

Beat Day 15 with a dish to unlock its Chill choices, or enable Chill for all available dishes in Settings. The three levels stack: more money, gentler service, then a restaurant that cannot be shut down.

Chill rules follow the official 1.5 announcement. Menu placement may vary by platform or build.
